Q&A with Greg

There's more to Greg than just real estate and policies! Let’s dive in and get to know him a bit better.

Q: What is your favorite sport?
A: I played soccer for 20 years so I really enjoy that but I enjoy watching hockey, notably the Calgary Flames (even though I grew up in an Oilers household).

Q: Favourite restaurant in Calgary?
A: Depends on what I am feeling but you can’t go wrong with Bridgette Bar (their Eggplant Fries are amazing). Hys Steakhouse and Pho Hoai are great as well.

Q: How do you pronounce your last name?
A: We say Mer-O-Zick. My background is Polish, Czechoslovakian, and Ukrainian.

Q: What do you do with your free time?
A: Outside of work, I keep busy with volunteering, hanging out with friends, biking, and going to live music venues and a lot more.

Q: Do you have any pets?
A: My parents still have our family dog, Sadie! She is a puggle who is about 16.5 years old :)

Q: What is your favorite concert you went to?
A: Paul McCartney when he came to Edmonton!

Q: Favorite movie?
A: Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. Extended version of course.

Q: What is a random fact about you?
A: A few years ago, I grew my hair out to 12” and donated it. Took me about 2 years to do it but was worth it.

Q: Favorite holiday?
A: I love the holiday season, especially the festive atmosphere leading up to Christmas. Every December, my mom and I keep a tradition of making cabbage rolls and pierogies from my Baba’s recipe, which we then serve at our family Christmas Eve dinner.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: As much as I love visiting tropical places, I really want to visit Antarctica to see the penguins and go kayaking!

Q: What is your favorite book?
A: Misery by Stephen King. It’s a great film too.

Q: What is one thing you could not live without?
A: Coffee. My go to is a large black coffee from Monogram but if I am in a rush, McDonalds is always good.
